Currently, all cinemas of the Multikino chain, both those located in the yellow and red zones, operate normally and are open 7 days a week - says Paweł Świst, President of the Management Board of Multikino S.A.
At present, the cinema industry in Poland operates mainly due to the availability of Polish films in the repertoire. We also appreciate the fact that despite a significant extension of the restrictions currently being introduced, the government has made it possible to continue the operation of cinemas throughout Poland.
In our opinion, the cinema is a safer place than e.g. restaurants, bars or other similar places of leisure, which is due to several aspects: in cinemas, seats are allocated by a ticket system which automatically imposes an appropriate distance, ensuring that social distance is maintained, viewers sit back to back and do not talk and viewers are obliged to wear a mask or a visor.
Multiplex cinema: we maintain current limits of available seats in cinemas
Currently, all the cinemas of the Multikino chain, both those located in the yellow and red zones, operate normally and are open 7 days a week - of course, with the current limits, according to which the number of available seats in the cinemas has been limited to 25 percent. Our employees make every day efforts to make the visitors to Multikino feel comfortable and safe.
We hope that Polish distributors will maintain their repertoire plans, which will allow us to offer our viewers new films and exclude the need to close or limit the opening time of cinemas. As of today we invite you to premiere screenings of films.
